Gajasura's body becomes a Shivalinga which gives moksha

ईश्वर उवाच |

 

God said (to Gajasura)

 

इदं पुण्यं शरीरं ते क्षेत्रेऽस्मिन्मुक्तिसाधने |

मम लिङ्गं भवत्वत्र सर्वेषां मुक्तिदायकम् || 66 ||

 

This your holy body, in this location which gives liberation (moksha), will now become my Linga (Shivalinga), which gives liberation (moksha) to everyone.
