In truth is everything respectable

वैश्यनाथाह्वय शिवावतारवर्णनं नाम षड्विंशोऽध्यायः

महानन्दोवाच |

Mahananda (the prostitute) said (to all the people there)

सत्याश्रयः परो धर्मः सत्येन परमा गतिः |
सत्येन स्वर्गमोक्षौ च सत्ये सर्वं प्रतिष्ठितम् || 48 ||

The high Dharma is to rest on truth. The highest state (is reached by) truth. With truth (one gets) heaven as well as liberation. In truth is everything respectable.
